In nature, I and the whole 7x7 family feel the best. I'll find a quiet and pretty flat place to park, and to make sure I don't start at night, I'll get two big iron wedges in front of my bikes. I prefer to stand so that we can see the sun rising in the morning. Not only because it's very nice, but also because everyone gets up much better. I sleep really well and very hard :-)
Peter likes to remind you that wherever we go, we are actually visiting. And that it is very important to our host - that is, to whom we will come - to show that we value his hospitality and to thank you for that.
So when our host is nature, we decided to thank her by leaving her a little more beautiful after we left than when we arrived. You ask how?
I'm sure you've also noticed how much clutter and trash some people often leave behind. Nature is incredibly handy and can do a lot on its own, but it is short on human rubbish, and especially on plastics. They will disintegrate after several decades or even hundreds of years. And even then they will be left with tiny pieces that you will not see with your eyes. They are called nanoparticles. And they stay in nature and further, and still pollute it. Flashlights are even more dangerous. They contain substances that are even toxic, and can mainly harm the animals a lot.
We therefore decided that if we could leave our place a little cleaner and more beautiful after the night, it would be our way of thanking nature at least a little for the night in her arms. And so the children and their parents collect and sort the garbage, especially plastics, and I then take them to the right bin or to the place where they collect such garbage.
