And to make it really easy, we want to use materials that are easily available for production, or better yet, that people throw away. We imagine that when we come to a village, we organize a working afternoon with the school, where we first prepare everything, explain a few games and play them with the children. The children will then choose which of the games they want to make, and we will help them with that. So everyone who wants to will take home his own new game at the end of the afternoon!
But what kind of game should we show children so that it can be easily explained to play, made and yet really interesting? We don't think it's that simple. And that's why we turned to friends who have a lot of experience in it - our friends from LudoBrousse, the "ludotheque" (which means a toy library) in the village of Revest-des-Brousses in France. Here, Hervé and Aurélia opened up their world of game making to us.
Hervé helped us to selected good games and to prepare the molds with which we could make lots of games afterwards. And Aurélia shared with us her experience of creating games from recycling, during her years of trvel in South America.
So now you know about our next idea, which we want to make during our trip, and which we are preparing with my friends with LudoBrousse.
If you have any idea how we could bring joy to other children during our trip without buying them something, please be sure not to keep it to yourself and write to us. We will be very happy!
